The day after my "Thruway Tolls" piece, the Times-Union had an article about the State Comptroller looking into the upcoming toll increases and asking them to hold off until he makes a recommendation. It wasn't clear as to whether they could be stopped, however.

The increase was to be 10% in January 2008, followed by 5% in 2009 and another 5% in 2010.
